Maps is IN HER GENIUS’ publishing project, focusing on literary works that serve as navigation systems for people, especially women.
We publish books and other things that spring from a source of authenticity that has the power to move things forward in this world.
Pushing the boundaries of traditional genres, we work with selected women authors - established, new or forgotten - who embody feminine genius.
WANTED: Instruction manual for life
A map gives you the notion of where you are and how to get where you want to get. Some authors enclose guidance and energetic support between the lines of their novels, poetry collections, memoirs, etc. Some women’s own lives are maps and their books originate directly from personal experiences, reflections, studies and thinking: that’s Maps by IN HER GENIUS, inspiration for generations to come.
What We’re Working On (2024-2025)
THE CHRONICLES OF MIA
It’s a series of 5 manga-style books written and illustrated by Michela Chiarelli and Tiziana Ghiggia. The books chronicle in a bullet-journal form the discoveries and learning journey of a young priestess in the making, Mia.
The series is inspired by the Italian folklore and Ancient Magic Tradition and has elements of coming-of-age fiction although it is primarily focused on the self-empowerment quest through other-worldly Realms.
The books are matter-of-fact manuals for developing one own’s consciousness, personal power and magic.
