The House of Feminine Genius is delighted to present you this wonderful new project: a collab between yours truly and the talented duo Michela Chiarelli & Tiziana Ghiggia.
Michela and Tiziana teamed up to bring to our memory, in a fresh and concise form, some of the most remarkable, past and present, women from all over the world. I’m sure you’ve heard of a few, but I guarantee you’ll be surprised by the number of women whose geniality we’re benefitting from to this day. Enjoy and… you’re welcome ;)

Non si sono fermate davanti a nessun ostacolo: hanno subito la legge della coverture che toglieva alle donne l'identità giuridica quando si sposavano; hanno condiviso i brevetti con co-inventori uomini pur di veder realizzata la loro creatura; hanno vissuto all’ombra di mariti nominati al Nobel solo grazie alle loro scoperte.
Dalla figlia di Byron alla schiava nera della piantagione di cotone, nessuna si è arresa a un destino che pareva ineluttabile.
Confrontandosi con le sfide familiari quotidiane, hanno sognato nuovi strumenti che abbattessero gli stereotipi e alleggerissero la fatica della normalità estenuante, cambiando anche il mondo della Medicina, della Fisica, dell’Informatica e delle Telecomunicazioni. Hanno calcolato propulsori e rotte spaziali, hanno pensato alla sicurezza e…hanno anche deciso le sorti della guerra.
Dietro al bucato da stendere e al batiscopio, dal giubbotto antiproiettile al Wi-fi c’è sempre una donna, a volte talmente bella da sembrare un’attrice di Hollywood!

They didn’t stop at any obstacle: they suffered coverture laws that took away women's legal identity when they got married; they shared patents with male co-inventors to see their creations created; they lived in the shadow of husbands nominated for a Nobel only thanks to their discoveries.
From Byron's daughter to the black slave on the cotton plantation, no one surrendered to a seemingly inevitable fate.
Confronted with daily family challenges, they dreamed of new tools that would overthrow stereotypes and ease the strain of exhausting normality, all the while changing the world of Medicine, Physics, IT and Telecommunications. They calculated thrusters and space routes, thought about security and... also decided the fate of the war.
Behind the laundry and the aquascope, from bulletproof vests to Wi-fi: there’s always a woman, sometimes as beautiful as a Hollywood actress!
