Sophie Wilson

Sophie Wilson è una donna transgender, nata a Leeds, in Gran Bretagna, nel 1957 come Roger Wilson.

Non ancora laureata in Informatica progettò l'Acorn System 1, un microcomputer da 8-bit per hobbisti e anche il suo linguaggio di programmazione, il BBC BASIC. 

Ha realizzato uno dei primi Personal Computer (PC) e progettato microprocessori per smartphone tra cui il processore ARM, oggi utilizzato per migliaia di prodotti diversi, dai cellulari ai tablet, dalle televisioni digitali ai videogames.

Sophie Wilson is a transgender woman, born in Leeds, Great Britain, in 1957 as Roger Wilson.

Not yet a Computer Science graduate, she designed the Acorn System 1, an 8-bit microcomputer for hobbyists and its own programming language, BBC BASIC.

She created one of the first Personal Computers (PCs) and designed microprocessors for smartphones including the ARM processor, used nowadays for thousands of different products, from smartphones to tablets, from digital televisions to video games.
